Each of these handmade botanical dangle earrings is made from a real hydrangea petal, its natural teardrop shape captured in sterling silver or jeweler's brass, approximately 1" to 1¼" in length.
Hand-applied patina settles into every vein and edge against a satin finish, revealing the full detail of the petal in rich, earthy tones. Because each earring is pressed from a real petal, the shape and size vary naturally — no two pairs are exactly alike.

Sterling silver, Gold, and Jeweler's Brass
Brass Pieces will develop a deep gold patina over time. Sterling silver will develop a black patina. To remove this you can use a jewelry polishing cloth like Sunshine Polishing cloths.
Gold pieces may be cleaned with a soft cotton cloth only - we do not recommend cleaning with commercial cleaners.
Storage
Keeping your jewelry away from moisture and storing it in a cool dry place will slow the tarnishing process. Your jewelry came with a 1' anti- tarnish tab. You can use this in your jewelry box to help absorb moisture.
Gemstones
The use of commercial products is not recommended for cleaning any of the gemstones in the Athena Bandit jewelry collection. You may clean stones using a soft cloth and mild, lukewarm soapy water. Some stones, such as Coral, Spiny Oyster Shell, Opals, Jade, Turquoise, and Pearls are delicate and should be cleaned using a soft cloth only. Using any products on these stones may harm them.
